About Beverly Hills Precious Metals

Like many precious metals companies, Beverly Hills Precious Metals has its headquarters in California. The company is founded on conservative ideas of patriotism and freedom, which is why so many conservatives tend to take a look at this company over others. The staff believes that it is very important to put your wealth into precious metals as a way to protect your livelihood and secure your funds until you retire.

Politics is important to this company, too, and because of this, they have received endorsements from a number of conservative pundits, as well as well known conservatives like Roseanne Barr. All of these people have the belief that the US dollar is more vulnerable than ever due to reckless government spending, inflation, and a volatile stock market, and they want to secure the money they have.

The managers here have decades of experience, and their main goal is to work with clients to connect them with the precious metals that will bring them benefits like security and confidence with investing. In addition to selling precious metals, the company also offers the following:

  • Buying precious metals from you
  • Storing metals that you buy from them
  • Offering gold and silver IRAs

Keep in mind that if you use Beverly Hills Precious Metals for an IRA, you won’t work with the company for most of the process. Instead, they will refer you to one of their many custodians who will take you through all of the paperwork. Only then can you start working with Beverly Hills Precious Metals to buy the metals to hold in your precious metals IRA.

Selling Metals

One thing that Beverly Hills Precious Metals does is buy metals that you want to sell. Even if you have metal that you did not buy from them, they will buy from you. In fact, there is an entire section of the website that gives you a step-by-step process for selling gold and silver back to the company.

First, you will have a free consultation with an account executive. This can be scheduled through the website, or you can call them at your convenience. You then tell them what you have, what condition they are in, and how much you have. They will give you a quote for your items based on the current spot price of the metal you are selling.

Keep in mind that we don’t have any information about how the company calculates the price they will pay for metals, and as of now, there haven’t been any type of feedback sharing this information. Because of this, we aren’t sure if the price is fair or not.

If you accept the price that you were quoted, you will get an invoice, which will include shipping instructions. You must send the items within 24 hours. When the company gets your metals and they are examined and tested, you will be given the payment.

Available Products from BHPM

Many people wonder what BHPM sells. We know that they have coins and bullion, and some are shown on the website, but other than that, we don’t have details about what the company has available. If you click on the product pages, it might show a few products, but on most of the pages there is a sign up form and a phone number. You must call them, or schedule a call at your convenience, to find out what the company has available as well as what the cost is.

Because of this, it’s difficult to know when a sale is fair or if you are paying the same price as another person. There is some information about prices in customer reviews, which we will examine further in this review.

Is Beverly Hills Precious Metals a Scam?

Many people wonder if Beverly Hills Precious Metals is a scam. It doesn’t seem to be. The company has been in operation for more than 20 years, which would be an amazing feat for a scam company. There are also some reviews out there that reflect the fact that people have used the company for their investments and portfolios. With this knowledge, we can say that BHPM is a legit company. The question remains, however, is this — is it a good company? Let’s look at some reviews:

Better Business Bureau

Even though this is a legitimate and established company, interestingly enough, it is not accredited by the BBB. In fact, when you go to the page, there is a bright red font that says, “Beverly Hills Precious Metals Exchange, Inc. is NOT a BBB Accredited Business.” There are a couple of reasons for this. First, it’s possible that the company does not want to be accredited by the BBB. Another reason is because the BBB doesn’t have enough information about the company to give it a rating. This seems a bit strange in my opinion, considering the company has been in business for over two decades.

That being said, there are reviews here by those who have used the company, and currently, BHPM has a 2.25/5 star rating on the Better Business Bureau website.

When we read some of these review, we noticed comment after comment calling the company “shady” and “liars.” There was only one 5-star review on the BBB site, and even that person said that you have to be patient, as the process of working with the company is a long one. That reviewer said they believe most people don’t understand that it takes awhile. On the BBB, there are more complaints than positive reviews. Would it be the same on other sites?

Google Reviews

There are more reviews on Google than on the BBB for Beverly Hills Precious Metals. As of July 2025, there are 36 reviews and the company has a 3.4/5 star average rating. Many reviewers who gave the company a 1/5 star rating state that they heard about BHPM on Christian radio shows or podcasts, which made them feel like they can trust them. These reviewers quickly changed their mind, though, with some of them claiming they lost thousands of dollars after proceeding with the company. Other reviewers on Google claim that the company charged very high storage/depository fees and that they charged a very high markup on metals compared to other companies.

Though there are many negative reviews on Google, there are some reviewers who recommend the company and have very nice things to say about their choice to work with this company.

Our best advice is to read every review that you see to make sure you are making a safe investment as much as possible.

Final Thoughts

Depending on how you feel about the reviews we have shared above, which are quite mixed, you still might be interested in working with Beverly Hills Precious Metals. However, we recommend that you really do your research to learn more before you invest. There isn’t a lot of information about the company, and even when we read reviews, it isn’t easy to see exactly how the company works or what options you have when you want to order precious metals or open an IRA.

That being said, we don’t think this company is a scam. There are some good reviews out there to view and since the company has been in business for more than two decades, they must be doing something right. You are required to call them to make a purchase, but you can do this from the convenience of your home when you are ready to buy. There are better companies out there in our option, but if you are set on using BHPM, just make sure you understand the process before investing.
